The signature of every Limited Edition piece from dUCk is its story, and of course, the time and care put into each piece of art – each a masterpiece of its own. For this year’s Eid collection, I wanted to focus on a bigger picture; Eid is an exciting time for everyone – the beautiful and colourful traditional outfits, the money packets (unless, like me, you have to give out money packets to the kids, lol), and of course the glorious food.
But as I grew older, Eid means more than just those things to me, it’s about spending quality time with family, and beyond that, it’s about coming together as a community – especially at the mosque on Eid mornings, where everyone in the neighbourhood gathers and bonds strengthened.
This collection is thus a tribute to that, and I wanted to incorporate the elements that we always see in a mosque into this collection. The first place that came to my mind was the Alhambra, which boasts beautiful geometrical patterns and intricate Arabic calligraphy that you also see on this dUCk. It was a place which I have fond memories of as a little girl, and it reminded me so much of the mosques we have here in Malaysia. A mosque makes relationships stronger, and I hope that in some little way, the Alhambra dUCk can do the same for you, too. – D.
Crafted from high quality satin silk, this instant shawl drapes and falls beautifully no matter how you style it. Available in 7 gorgeous colours, the Alhambra dUCk boasts beautiful geometrical patterns – called laceria – and a little message in Arabic calligraphy at its corners. Can you make out what it says?

Here are some tips to treat your dUCks with love and care:
Care Instructions
- Recommended to hand wash and line dry
- For makeup or oil stains, spot treat with a stain remover
- Steam iron or dry iron on medium heat
- For storage, fold or hang in a wardrobe
- Dry clean recommended or hand wash with mild detergent
- Wash separately before first use
- Steam Iron is recommended
- Machine-wash under a gentle cycle in a laundry mesh bag
- Iron on low temperature
- Avoid direct contact of dUCk hardware with strong chemicals such as detergent, perfume, etc
- Hang to dry, do not tumble dry
- Protect from direct light, heat and rain. Should it become wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth
- Avoid direct contact with substances that might cause colour transfer, bleeding, and fading
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap
- Keep clean by wiping with a soft damp cloth
- Do not wash, soak, bleach, or machine dry to avoid damaging the material
- When not in use, store it flat or upright to preserve its shape
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, body lotion, hair spray or other substances that might cause damage
- Clean after each use with a soft cloth
- When not in use, store it in a dustbag or airtight jewellery box
